About Psychotherapy Psychotherapy is a way of talking and reflecting together with a therapist to gain further understanding of one’s difficulties. Most people seeking personal growth or change in their lives, or who need help to resolve personal problems can benefit from psychotherapy. It creates the opportunity for individuals to relate with honesty in a safe and confidential setting. Through that experience they can deepen their understanding and find a new way of relating to themselves and others. The purpose of psychotherapy is to help alleviate distressing symptoms and to promote the capacity for more fulfilling relationships in everyday life. This creates the possibility of making real choices and instigating change.
Who is it for ? Those seeking help with: Difficulties in relationships Low self-esteem Feelings of isolation, loneliness and depression Fears, phobias and anxiety Crises or stressful changes such as bereavement, separation, redundancy, etc. Eating disorders The effects of emotional, physical or sexual abuse.
